Canazei

One of the most known touristic villages in the whole alpine mountain range is Canazei.
It's a magnificent bowl valley, surrounded by the most important dolomites groups: Marmolada, Sellaronda, Ciampac, Col Rodella and Collaccio.
Lately Canazei has grown a lot and tourism has developed intensively, but nevertheless its Ladin origins and traditions are clearly visible in its architecture and folk customs.

Canazei is a famous destination for both summer and winter holidays. It belongs in fact to the biggest and most spectacular ski carousel, the Dolomiti Superski, with 1.200 km of perfectly covered with snow slopes. There are 4 ski areas that skiers and snowborders can easily reach from the village: Belvedere, Ciampac, Col Rodella and Marmolada, of course always respecting the rules of the behavior on snow. There are also lots of opportunities for cross country skiers and those who like lonely routes... Cross country slopes for all and at any quote around the Ciampac ring at 2.100 m. In the center of the village there is also a school camp where children can learn how to ski.

In summer there are as well lots of possibilities to make mountain hiking or pleasant walks among astonishing colors, sparkling air and real perfumes. There are excellent services offered by the leisure infrastructures as the Eghes Wellness Center, by Canazei swimming pool, ideal for a wellness program realized according to the ancient roman "thermae" baths philosophy. You have as well the ice rink "G. Scola" in Alba Canazei, as the meeting place of ice hockey team S.H.C. Fassa Levoni, a famous protagonist in the National A League Championship.
In Canazei there are also several MUST events as the Sellaronda Skimarathon, the Dolomites Skyrace and the "Gran Festa d'Istà".
