Dominated by the daring spires of Sassolungo, at the outlet of the Duron Vally, at the foot of the Col Rodella, rises the village of Campitel lo Fassa.
A village full of traditions. With lots of historical buildings, rustical "to biè", narrow streets and typical alleys. Here continues the production of butter, milk and cheese, products that represent the authentic flavor and perfumes of the mountain meadows. The famous "Ciampedel de Fascia" is a cheese of a very intense flavor.
In summer time Campitello Fassa offers many opportunities for walks and excursions: from the tour of Sassolungo to the walks and hikes throughout the wonderful Duron Valley, a green full of meadows and woods valley with its typical huts and bathed by the transparent and fresh water of the Duron river. Its road has been always used by the shepherds and merchants to reach the Fassa Valley from the towns of Alpe di Siusi, Castelrotto and Tires. From the village you can take Col Rodella rope way that takes you in a breath take to the peak of Col Rodella. Here you have a magnificent view of Sassolungo mountain.
Few steps from the rope way station, through a beautiful walk that connects Campitello to Canazei, you can find the modern and well equipped Ischia Sports Center, equipped as well with a free climbing structure and a golf course.
The golf course is administrated by "Val di Fassa Golf Club" and is open from 15th June to 30th September and disposes of a practice golf course with 10 hole court, putting green, exercise bunker and new exercising 5 hole path (2 PAR 4 / 3 PAR 3). During the months of July and August it is possible to take lessons from professional masters.

In spring and autumn, thanks to excellent ascending flows, Campitello Fassa is offering great emotions to hang-gliding and paragliding lovers. Moreover, Campitello Fassa is a winter paradise for skiers and snowboarders. Slopes perfectly covered with snow and new technology lifts. In just a few minutes, thanks to the large rope way one can reach the ski area Col Rodella directly connected to the neighboring Belevedere Ski Area, as well as Sella Ronda, which is the 4 Passes circuit around Sella rocky massif and which can be crossed over the 4 Ladin valleys: Fassa, Gardena, Badia and Arabba in just one day.
