Not only skiing

In Alta Fassa we have lots of opportunities for who cannot ski at all or is not in the right mood to do this. Alba Canazei offers to the lovers of skating a covered ice stadium "Gianmario Scola", where you can frequently attend hockey games of the National A League competition and relevant shows of figure skating. It's open as well in summer.

In Canazei there is also a wellness center (Eghes Wellness Center) that follows the ancient roman wellness philosophy of the "thermae".
In Campitello Fassa you can find a Sports Center called Ischia with a natural skating rink, open only winter time and possibility to rent ice skates.

Ladin Museum
You can visit the Ladin Culture Institute in Vigo di Fassa that is situated at just 15 minutes driving distance from Canazei. For 25 years the institute has been promoting the language and culture of this ancient people of the Dolomites. You can admire the collection of material referred to the history, economy, language, folklore, mythology, traditions and customs of the Ladin people.

Museum of the Big War - Ciapela Hut, Belluno
You can make this cultural visit at 2.950 meters of hight, in the highest museum in Europe. The Big War Museum has been set up in 1990 in memory of bloody battles during the first world war and is supposed to, impartially and above any political ideology, remember and honor all those who fought with courage on the glacier, in the frost and darkness of the tunnels, those who suffered and died for their country.
